Based in Paducah, Ky., Computer Services Inc. (CSI) announced Tuesday, July 13 the launch of its CSI lending marketplace, with the goal of helping financial institutions (FIs) access a national market of commercial and consumer loans.

“The economic downturn has made it vital for financial institutions to diversify their portfolios,” said Gio Mastronardi, president of CSI’s corporate banking group. “CSI Loan Marketplace enables financial institutions to gain more opportunities, gain efficiency and maximize their earning power. “

In a press release, CSI said its new centralized platform would allow FIs to buy, sell and participate in lending transactions of all kinds. Banks can use the platform to rebalance their portfolio in accordance with their investment plans. Additionally, the press release says FIs can expand their geographic footprint.

CSI provides digital banking, payment processing, print and electronic document distribution, as well as regulatory compliance solutions, to FIs and other corporate clients in the United States and internationally. CSI said its IT services include mobile and online banking as well as website design and hosting.

CSI’s new platform is powered by Community Capital Technology. The New York-based startup offers a digital platform for managing loan portfolios for organizations such as regional banks, community banks, credit unions and non-bank loan originators.

“The CSI loan market provides CSI clients with a more direct, transparent and transparent way to manage their loan portfolios and seek new opportunities or new partners,” said Garrett Smith, CEO of Community Capital. “We are delighted to be working with CSI.

Earlier this year, CSI announced a collaboration with Autobooks to provide financial institutions with the technologies they need to help small business clients better manage their finances. “By partnering with Autobooks, we are providing our financial institution clients with a robust and cohesive platform that helps them serve their small business clients in new and exciting ways,” said David Culbertson, President and COO of CSI.
