Digital education lending platform Credenc has hired Mayanka Uppal as chief marketing officer. Uppal brings with it over a decade of industry experience and will report directly to founders Mayank Batheja and Avinash Kumar.
She has over 11 years of professional experience in all areas of branding and marketing. She brings to the table the logic of a data-driven seasonal marketer, balanced with the objectivity of a creative strategist.
Most recently, Uppal oversaw marketing and brand positioning at Omaxe Ltd., and ran his own menswear brand NooNoo.in.
Congratulating Mayanka on her appointment, Mayank Batheja, co-founder of Credenc, said, “Mayanka is a seasoned marketing leader. She brings her impressive background and expertise in creative branding to the table, and we are confident she will excel in designing and launching a solid business strategy for us. His unique insight into consumer-centric brand building and effective brand development initiatives will drive us forward in our vision of making Credenc a student-centric brand in the years to come. Mayanka’s ability to drive key business and brand objectives will be an additional asset to Credenc’s overall growth as a company, and we congratulate her on this appointment.
Mayanka Uppal added, “I am truly delighted to have joined Credenc, especially at a time when student loans in India are set to be disrupted. I have made unconventional education choices that have served me well in my career, so the potential to facilitate the same for talented and hungry students across streams is very exciting to me. The simple premise of “potential-based lending” is in itself a powerful proposition, and I look forward to diving straight into consumer understanding and getting our message across. »
